Fourth

Latest work of mine an old trade I made with a friend of mine through DeviantArt.
Finally I got the right pose and atmosphere which helped me to make this piece of art.

Tried my best to give enough attention and afford in my background this time, used a new sketch what I vectorized in Photoshop than placed on a layer of the original work. I used only one layer for the all background which is fully hand drawn with only one small effect.
In the very end I added one soft texture on it to take back the vibrant colours of it and don't let the character lost in it.

The cyber cat anthro belongs to LandingZone.

Third

I've been busy lately with family activity - but finally got some free time to be productive and make some new works in the spirit of Halloween.
These artworks were strongly influenced by Hellraiser films - portrayed by the design idea from the hell creatures I saw in the show.

Featuring my favourite dog breed,
the Saluki. I created this hellhound. I found interesting idea to pick up bright colour for the fur to make it a bit more interesting than the typical black colour ideas.
I also featured pure white for his eyes to give more empty feeling of the creature. The metal inputs are mostly own ideas but I admit using Hellraiser features - leather and iron. I made my own ideas and combinated them with dog anatomy.
I loved to play a lot with the strong contrasts in the work and used from completly white to completly black tones to give better depth to the work.
I loved to work with this one.

I used more cyber features in this one to make it look different and yet still scary.
Was interesting to work again with the bright colours on the fur which is a bit closer to reality and "more believable" in my sight - especially visually. It was a great experience to work with the emotional part of this work, with his eyes and to achieve this "sick" and very unnatural but still real life based feeling.
The goal was to create something scary which is closer to the reality with colours and features - giving real horror feeling instead of dark fantasy.
I need to do more works like this to try myself in other areas in the art world.

On other hand I started to dig up some of my sketches to colour them and build up my portfolio finally. I need new works where I can show my current level and style since I improved quite a lot from year to year and learnt new techniques in the digital world.

Old sketch I loved so much and always wanted to colour it. It needs some minor changes to fit the horse anatomy even better. I am playing with fire here, since I was more comfortable with winter and cold visual effects.
It still needs some changes in the neck and on the head, but slowly its improving the way I imagined. Of course I will do my best to make the final result powerful and the way I see it in my head. I love to work the little details and trying to work with new and rarely used colours from my palette.

Second

This is post is about the mythical and most beloved dragons of the fantasy world.

This work was made back in 2005 and is one of my first tablet works.
This was the very first dragon I digitaly painted after a pencil sketch. It was also the hardest digital work
in my life because of mine weak and really poorly operating computer. Some details were never added because I had to redo many parts of this work from random reboots of the machine.
However I still tried to finish the image because of how it started to turn out - so far this image of mine was stolen and claimed by many others
without my premission.
It was a very good experience working with tablet - also a good warning to use logo on my publicated works later.

This work was a fanart for one of my idols character, Dignatus from 2006. I was playing a lot with the dynamic pose and energy of the creature and tried to make it look weird and dancing.
Also this was my first works where I started to work without any colours, only black & white greystones and added colours later. It was interesting to work with and I started to love the creature even more.

Random water dragon idea I had in my head for very long and finally in 2006 I was able to make it live. This was the second try of the same creature because the original design lacked many water creature characteristics.
I had another good experience with using textures and some effects I never tried before. In the original plan I designed him as a water creature who can also walk on earth.

The first art of this water creature, also from 2006 before the desing got reformed with some more water creature features.
As for me I still like this one better since this was the original idea, and since we are talking about a fantasy creature I don't find that it that important to follow every biological law.
The small critters around him are
another water creature idea of mine but without any reference yet.
This work was my first where added more than one creature in the same work and try to taste how it is with composition and place more characters in the art.

It was another busniess work for personal request of an ice dragon character the client designed himself in 2007. I had to portray him the way I imagined as a furious, strong and powerful dragon in his territory. This time I tried to add lots of attention to the background to make the all work as a poster desing or like a wallpaper. Good experience with ice and use of brigther colours than my usual. The client was very happy with the result.

A gift from 2008 for one of my best friends for his birthday. This dragon is represent part of his personality mixed with his favourite mythical beast the rare golden dragon.
I wanted to make this dragon look like a dragon of light, the cleansing one - the dragon whose quest to cleanse the world of darkness.
My friend is a very noble one and his heart is warm and he is a very great friend of mine and I tried to give back my best with this work to make him happy. Tried to make it personal to make him feel this art was only for him.
I find this work of mine the best dragon art so far - heart and soul was placed in it.

First

As for the first post here I would like to share my most beloved works I did so far. It's not much, but these works will forever be my most beloved ones.

First of all this archer dragon work from 2006, which was also my first busniess art I made on personal request.
I had three days of hard work with this one with a little free time.
I enjoyed every moment I spent with it. I concentrated on
the character more than on the background. It was a fresh experience for me and my first time using blur for the depthness.

Another work from 2006. This was my entry for a contest made by one of my idols. I won 4th place, which made me very happy.
The creature idea is hers, however the design ideas belong solely to me.
I enjoyed playing with poses and make it like a cover work or something similar like that.
I still love this one a lot, and this was also a very good experience for learning some digital tricks!

As for the last one (at the moment), it's a work from the early months of 2009.
This work is mix between surrealism, dark and cyber style - three things I love a lot.
My idea was "a picture with in the picture" and I spend a lot of time on the concept idea.
Also, this work one of my biggest resolution works and the a first time I using two different programs for the same image. The background was done by OpenCanvas while everything else was made with Photoshop.

I will post older works a bit later posts as well as my newer works.
